THE ISS - Serar

The ISS is known as the International Space Station. It is a very large spacecraft where astronauts can live and work in space for long periods. This craft has been the home and workplace for many people since 2000. In the ISS they have tested :

• The behaviour of many items - living and non-living - in microgravity
  
• How space travel affects the human body

The ISS was constructed in space since it was too big to launch a piece from Earth.
